Delray Beach Day with Boca Ski Club!

Pack a cooler and join us for a day of fun in the sun, sand, and ocean at Delray Beach! Bring your Kayak or SUP and/or snorkel gear and dive flag, or rent it all there (Delray Beach Water Sports). Adventurous folks can swim or take Kayaks or SUPs to explore the The Delray Wreck , a popular dive and snorkel spot located 150 yards offshore. Marie has even arranged for an anchor for us to tie our kayaks or paddleboards up to in case you want to paddle out to the wreck and check it out.
THE DETAILS:
Metered Parking at Anchor Park 340 S Ocean Blvd, Delray Beach, FL. 33483. Also accessible from Gleason Street. Can fill up by 10am on nice days. Other lots are North but fill up faster. If you come early enough, there is metered parking on A1A north.
Kayak++ drop-off area available at Casuarina and A1A
Look for the large Boca Ski Club Flag by the ocean to your left/north just as you walk on at Casuarina and A1A (if it’s too windy, the flag won’t be up!).
Delray Beach Water Sports rents a full assortment of snorkel gear, dive flags, kayaks, paddle boards, hey, even Hobie Cats!
Marie has arranged for an anchor to tie up to in case you want to paddle out to the wreck and check it out. The wreck is a 150-yard swim; low tide that day is at 2:29 pm so the wreck will be in about 15 feet of water, or less. Only the steam stack is showing above sand at this time, but it’s been there over 100 years, so it’s got sea life and attracts larger fish to the area.
Bring: sunscreen, hat, coverup, beach chairs, umbrella, pack a lunch, snacks, drinks, WATER! Don’t forget your credit card for paid parking
