Despite its rep as the top destination for challenging terrain, an intermediate skier can access the 9 min tram to the top and catch a groomed run down.  The mid mountain Marmot lift allows great intermediate glades runs, connecting bottom of Thunder to top of gondola. The Casper high speed quad takes you to powdery blues and glades, the gondola serves mostly blue runs.  Catwalks link numerous bowls and allow you to traverse back and forth on the mountain.  This is truly a bucket list resort for any skier, ask anyone that has been here before.  There is often more favorable weather up above the clouds off the tram when its actually colder below.  Awesome views and a laid back atmosphere.

On the national historic registry and built by Swiss-German owners to resemble what they have back home after they bought the prime location long ago, sits at base of the tram.  Has very unique and healthy menu at its restaurant. Fire places, hand carved accents give the true feel of a Chalet in the Alps.  Special rooms available for upgrade.
