A popular contemporary American restaurant, Burton's features menu items with premium ingredients prepared from scratch.

Plenty of free parking -- the Happy Hour menu is offered until 6:30.

We'll be in the bar area -- so look for the green Boca Ski Club flags on the tables.

Ski Club bike rides often use the 'El Rio Trail' that heads north/south through Boca Raton. Community Greening is teaming up with the City of Boca Raton to plant 100 native shade trees along a stretch of El Rio Trail on Saturday, Sept. 19th starting at 9am, and they need YOUR help to get them in the ground! Note that this event is not organized by Boca Ski Club.

The planting will take place on a stretch of El Rio Trail just south of Clint Moore Blvd. Parking and trail access will be at 6551 Park of Commerce Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33487.

CG Arborists and their trained Tree Technicians will be on hand to lead the group, and guide/assist volunteers. No experience needed, and all skill levels and physical capabilities welcomed. They encourage anyone to join who is interested in getting their hands a little dirty, while helping a great cause.

Community Greening will provide all of the tools needed, have work gloves to borrow, as well as water and light snacks. They'’ll even have a DJ on-site to keep things fun!

Please wear closed-toe shoes, and clothing that can get a little dirty. We also encourage you to wear a hat and sunscreen.

Families are welcome, all minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the entire duration.

We'll try and put up the Boca Ski Club flag as a meetup point, so watch out for it. For anyone who wants to stick around, we'll go to the SW Grill for an early lunch at 11:15 (ish) at SW Grill (across the road from the Costco entrance on Military). SW Grill is on the 1st floor of the golf club - dress is very casual so hopefully we'll be OK after tree planting.

Feel free to join us at SW Grill if you want to skip the planting.

Deerfield Island Park & The Cove Lunch Event

Come join us for a brief ferry ride from Sullivan’s Park to Deerfield Island Park, a 53.3-acre island that is the “…only island park that is a nature-oriented refuge-rich in both regional history and flora and fauna. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway at Hillsboro Boulevard and accessible only by boat…” Spend an hour walking the nature trails, observe the local animals and plants, watch boats traveling the intercoastal waterway, and appreciate this hidden gem. All for free. Then, let’s go to lunch at The Cove, walking distance from Sullivan’s Park.

Event Details: Saturday, September 26, 2026.

10:30 AM: Meet at Sullivan’s Park, 1633 Riverview Rd, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. Parking is free for first 4 hours, but you must register your license plate at the Pay-by-Plate kiosk or mobile app. Stay longer than 4 hours at $3.00 per hour. After registering your license plate, work your way to the dock.

10:50 AM: Board the ferry to go to the Island. The ferry leaves at 11:00 and only every hour, on the hour. You must be there 10 minutes before 11:00 to be sure to catch the ferry at 11:00.

11:50 PM: Board the ferry from the Island to return to the Park. The ferry leaves the dock at 12:00 and only every hour, on the hour. You may not want to be stuck on the Island for another hour.

12:30 PM: Lunch at The Cove restaurant, 1754 S.E. 3^rd Court, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. Separate checks available.
